India and the United States on Monday began their biggest joint air force exercise at Agra. Called Cope India 09, the exercise will fine-tune and practise inter-operability of transport aircraft of the two countries.
Cope India comes days after army units of India and the US launched Exercise Yudh Abhyas at Babina in Madhya Pradesh some days ago. Yudh Abhyas, as the name suggests, is a honing ground for joint combat if the two countries ever need to fight side by side. And the star of the show is the Stryker, America's iconic infantry combat vehicle.
The two nations have made formidable headway in military cooperation in just five years since they began holding joint military exercises.
